Traveling around the Islands
Hi all. It has been 1 year now since we moved to Oahu and are loving it. Bob's Hyperbaric Medicine job is going very well and he just switched his emergency medicine job to Kaiser which we are all very happy about. The past year has been busy with continuing work on the house. Our next project to think about is our very outdated and old kitchen. But finally the home improvements have slowed and we are spending more time enjoying our spare time here. In April we visited the Big Island to hike and see the Volcano
The Big Island also has the best scuba diving in Hawaii which we were able to get a couple ofdives in. Kimi of course had a great time in the water as always. Then we went to Kauai for a couple of days to visit a friend and just relax at the beach.
In May we went to Maui for a few days and hiked around Haleakela Crater, Rode a submarine, swam in a rain forest river, and visited the aquarium.

looks wonderful - I have been trying to plan a trip to come visit - but it is difficult to coordinate flights from san diego (that don't cost a fortune) we even thought about leaving from LA to give us a better rate on flights. I'm thinking its not going to happen this "summer" but maybe over thanksgiving - if, of course, you are around and have no one else visiting? We will talk about it soon!

The pictures bring back a lot of memories for me. We always enjoyed our trips to Hawaii.When we went with Pa (opa)it was the only time he was wearing shorts.Lots of Japanese toerists took pictures of him walking with his blond little granddaughters.
